HORSE KILLED BY ADDER.
A mare found dead at Branault, Ardnaraurchan, Argyllshire, had two tiny punctures close to her mouth, and her head was swollen to an abnormal size. She had been bitten by one of the deadly aclders which have been an increasing pest in ihe countryside as "a result of the warm weather. Six adders were killed a few days previously near tc the place where the mare was found dead. They varied in lejigh from loin to 2Gin.
