YOUTH SHOT IN THE EYE

Through the accidental discharge of a gun, a youth, George Arthur Warron, of 32, Huntingtree Avenue, Mount Albert, sustained a painful wound to the left eye on Saturday afternoon. It is et present doubtful whether he will regain the use of his eve.

Severe scalds were sustained by Mrs. Florence Tallentire, cf College Hill, Ponsonby, through upsetting a can of boiling i water over her right foot while working i at. the tea kiosk at the Ellerslie Race-! course on Saturday. She was conveyed i to the Auckland Hospital by the St- John ambulance and her condition is reported to be satisfactoryFell Down Steps. Mr. Ernest Lowther, of 88, Grey Street, - aged 40 years, sustained injuries to his head and left eye through falling down a flight of steps on to the concrete at the bottom. His condition is not serious and to-day shows improvement.
