CROQUET.
ST. HELIER'S BAY CLUB. At the annual meeting of the St. Helier's Bay Croquet Club. Miss Foster presided ovpr a large attendance. The annual report showed that the club was in a very flourishing condition. The club had won the association B grade banner and qualified for the A grade by defeating Avondale Club. Prizes for competition were donated by Mesdames Francis, Hayes and Keys, and Mr. Kohn, and were won as follows: A grade. Mrs. Masters: B grade, Mrs. White: Al grade, Mrs. Keys 1, Mrs. Russell 2; grade A 2, Mrs. Friar 1, Mrs. White 2; B grade, Mr. Stevens 1, Mrs. Moses 2. Mrs. Clarke 3.
The following officers were elected: President, Mrs. Hutchinson; vice-presidents. Mrs. Russell and Miss Poster; secretary and treasurer. Mrs. Lowe; general committee. Mrs. Hayes. 'Mrs. Diamond and Mrs. Masters: match committee. Miss Appleyard; Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Lowe: delegates to association. Mrs. Keys and Mrs. Lowe.
It was decided to continue the monthly progressive afternoon. Mrs. Lowe was presented with a handsome oxidised silver vase as a token of the club's appreciation of her services as honorary secretary and treasurer.
