MINISTERS ANSWER DEPUTATION

WELLINGTON, this day,
A scheme for improving the star! organisation of University Colleges and for grants to increase professors' remuneration with provision for more equitable superannuation, was presented by an influential deputation to the Ministers of Education and Finance. The Ministers promised consideration for larger salaries, but emphasised the need of economy in Government expenditure.
