HOTELKEEPER FOUND DEAD.
RIFLE BESIDE BODY

MURCHISON, this day. John Reid, licensee cf the Mammoth ! Hotel, at Mataki, near Murchison, was found dead yesterday afternoon with a rifle lying by his side. Deceased had ■been in ill-health for sime time and returned from the Nelson Hospital only last Saturday.
