Sir John Findlay returned to Wellington by last evening's express. Mr. and Mrs. George W. Wilton, of Wellington, are at Hotel Arundel. Mr. A. S. Farebrother, of Suva, is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. H. P. Richmond left for Wellington by last evening's express to attend the sitting of the Court of Appeal. Mr. J. R. MeKenzie, and Mx. B. Van Staveren, of Wellington, and Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Williams, of Gisborne, are at the Grand Hotel. Sir James Gunson is to be invited by the Auckland City Council to accept appointment as a sinking fund commissioner in succession to the late Mr. D. Goldie. Mr. W. E. Cavannagli (Hamilton), Mr. F. C. Copeland (Sydney), Mr. L. A. Pitts (Sydney), Mr. *G. W. Hayley (Christchurch), Mr. P. X. Pollehveil (Christchurch), Mr. C. W. Taylor (Wellington), Mr. E. T. Smith (Sydney) are at the Central Hotel. Mr. M. Reid (Christchurch), Mr. P. C. Peterson (Cambridge). Mr. O. E. Saunders (Thames), Mr. X. T. Adams (Thames), Mr. H. MeKenzie (Wellington), Mr. D. A. Carty (Wellington), Mr. G. A. Somerville (Wellington), Mr. .T. S. Fawcett (Hamilton), Mr. W. C. Dixon (Hamilton) are at the Star Hotel.
