"LUCKY LAST" ART UNION.
PRINCIPAL PRIZE-WINNERS. The "Lucky Last" art union, organised by the New Zealand Labour party to aid the fund for the building of a social hall in Grey Lynn, was drawn by the Mayor, Mr. Geo. Baildon, in the Empress Theatre, on Wednesday evening. The three principal prizes went to people outside Auckland. The first prize of £300 -was won by Mrs. M. E. Shaw, of Awanui, the second of £100 by Mrs. K. Vincent, of Wanganui, and the' third of £50 by Mr. M. P. Portway, of New Plymouth. The minimum objective was £400, but' it was estimated that the proceeds would be well above that amount.
