A YOUTHFUL ESCAPEE. SOON RECAPTURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. While being escorted from Napier to Weraroa yesterday, John Colston (10) jumped off the express close to Woodvillc station, commandeered a horse, saddle, and bridle at Woodville, and made off from the locality as quickly as he could in a dash for freedom. However, he was interrupted last night when he was apprehended between Ashhurst and Colyton by a constable.
Appearing in the Police Court this morning, accused was ordered to be returned to Weraroa, with a recommendation that he be transferred to the Borstal Institute, at Invercargill.
