The bracket Wedding March and Tine-horo-wae made about £-2.30 better favourite than Glenidle for the Vittoria Hurdles, but there was a big drop to Royal Form and -Toy Ride, which were next fancied. Axle, Tinohoro, Glenidlo, Royal Form. Taitaiata and (Jluement was tlu , order going past the stands, but Tinohoro vv»s in charge along the back from Axle. Royal Form. Glenidie. Revel. Glueineiit. and Taitaiata. Wedding March took charge before the last hurdle was reached, with Giuemeiit, Sayonara, (.Ilenidle. and Royal Form most handy of the others. Wedding March went on to win nicely by a couple of lengths from Sayonara. which beat Gluement by a length and a-half. Glenidle, Zero Hour, Taitaiata. and Royal Form were next. Another Favourite Wins. Rascal was a very warm proposition for the Trial Plate, being nearly three times better hacked than Nassoek. while Paddon and Hypnotic came in for most attention of the others. The favourite Won by about a length, but Paddon gave

him something to do. Paddon, Waterlow, Rascal and Pangolin were the leaders as they turned for home, and at the distance Paddon looked as though lie might prevail. The weight, however, told, and Rascal beat him as stated. Pangolin was three lengths away, third, with Waterlow, Hypnotic, and Mali Jong next. Bonny Kill Scores. Merry Singer carried about £200 more than Hypothesis in the First Hack Steeplechase, while Hokioi and Eonmaik had friends. Lady Comet was the early pilot, but the latter made a bad effort at the first fence. • Eonmark led down the back from Hokioi, Bonny Rill, Lai'.y Comet,, Hypothesis, Merry Singer, and Blue Hall. Eonmark led over the double in front of the stands, with Lady Comet, Hokioi, Bonny Rill, Merry Singer, and JTorth Inch next. Eonmark was still in charge. along the back and across the top, where Bonny Rill, Hokioi, Mer»y Singer," and North Inch were racing as named. Eonmark showed the way over the last fence to Bonny Rill and Hokioi, but Bonny Rill then ran to the lead and won by a length from Hokioi, which beat Merry Singer by a length and a-half. Hypothesis, Eonmark and North Inch were next. Blue Hall lost his rider at the fence by the seveu-furlong post. The Stewards' Handicap. The bracket, Hoariri and Lady Lois found most favour in the Stewards' Handicap, Serang and Indian Sage also being well supported. Kilris, and iSerang were in that order. A Surprise Victory. Xukumai, Sturdee and Lady Comet iVL're the defections from the 'Wellington •Stecple'-hase. Master Peter was installed favourite, while Fireblight and Kendal were also well supported. Ranui was first to show out from Omahit, Landbird, Tuki, Kendal. First Line, Charlatan. Fireblight, Birkenella. and Dick. Passing the stands Greekson was in front, but jumped the wing of the first fence of the double and ran ofF at the second. Ranui was then the pilot from Kendal. Llewellyn, Master Peter, Landbird, Fireblight," Tuki. Passin' Through, Highway, and Charlatan, while First Line and Dick had tailed off. Landbird fell along the back, and when they came round again Kendal was in charge, hut clewed at the first fence of the double and stopped, pausing Ranui to also pull up. Birkenella then went to the front from Master Peter, Fireblight, Passin' Through, Llewellyn, Highway, Tuki and Charlatan. Birkenella was steadied, and Passin' Through led along the back from Virebliglit. Birkenella. Highway, Charlatan, and Tuki, Master Peter having fallen. The order was much the same into the straight, but at the last fence Birkenella jumped to the front and went en to win by four lengths from Fireblight, which" beat Passin' Through by

two lengths. Highway, Charlatan, Tuki. Oiuahu. ami Llewellyn were the only others to finish. Passionate Unlucky. Hillatiun was the only scratching lor ;iie Whyte Memorial, but after the preliminary Bowman was ah?o withdrawn owing to lameness. Passionate was a very warm favourite, carrying over twice us much a> Merry Damon, while Kilia was alr-u well supported. At the dUtHiice Kapier drew out to win by three lengths from Roue.v. which beat Passionate, which came fast over the last bit, by two lengths. Titauess was fourth, with Merry Damon, Olympic. Potoanui, Kilia and Royal Diadem next. Passionate did not get away too well. Black Cruiser Falls. The public went for Zircon in the Treinham Hurdles, making him about £90 better favourite than Cureaform, while Brigadier Bill was best supported of the others. Black Cruiser failed to negotiate the lirst fence. To Kawa piloted the Held past the stands from Alarie, Peter Rosa. Little River. Brigadier Hill. and Zircon. Alarie took charge along the back from Tc Kawa. Peter Kosa, Comedy Prince. Brigadier Bill, Liicullent and Zircon. Crossing the top Peter Rosa was the pilot from Brigadier Bill. Alarie and Liicullent. Peter Roi>a. was first to turn for home from Brigadier Bill, Alarie and Lucullent. Once over the last fence Brigadier Bill drew out to win by half-a-length from Lucullent, which finished well and beat Peter Rosa -by a length. Santiago, Zircon, Cureaform and Crown Coin were next. The Concluding Event. Twenty-two went to the post for the Te Aro Handicap. Sir Moment being entrusted with about £300 more than Captain Gazeley, while Llandudno and Nucleus also commanded attention. Tannadice and Elvsianor were the first to

become prominent, and they led across the top from Sir Moment and Nucleus, while entering the straight the colours of Ga-rdant could also be seen on the extreme outside. Sir Moment came through to win in easy fashion by three lengths from Oardant, which beat Tannadiee by a length. Mountain Jean, Bracmar, Cat Call. Kilris and Joy Bird followed as named.
