AUCKLAND ACCIDENTS.
,—, I TAIaL FROM TRAMCAR. INJURIES TO CONDUCTOR. Several accident cases received attention at the Auckland Hospital yesterday. A tram conductor, Mr. F. Davis, residing at No. 13, King Edward Avenue, Epsom, was admitted shortly after eight o'clock last evening suffering from head injuries sustained through falling off a moving tramcar at the intersection of Manukau and Ranfurly Roads. The St. John Ambulance was summoned and the injured man conveyed to the hospital, where he was admitted in an unconscious condition. Later in the evening he recovered consciousness. This morning it was reported that hia condition was very much improved and that he was making satisfactory progress. Mr. Albert Edward Borland, aged 23, residing at No. 5, Cameron Street, Devonport, while hurrying to his work yesterday morning fell and sustained a fracture of the left elbow. In the afternoon he was admitted to the hospital. His condition is not considered serious. Injuries to the left cheek were sustained by Mr. William Henry Haslip, aged 38, of the Great South Road, Otahuhu, through a motor car backfiring while he was cranking it. He was admitted to the hospital and is reported to be progressing satisfactorily.
