The matter was referred to the Legal and Finance Committpp. Prince's Wharf Sheds.—ln answer to tb* request of the Auckland Grain. Seed and Produce Merchants' Association that coverinis should he erected over the doors of Prince's Wharf sheds in wet weather, it was pointed out that the roofing of the roadway would cost £ 1 .',OOO. The opinion was expressed that the expenditure was not warranted. As an experiment, however, it was sugeested that hooks •migh.t bo provided above the shed doors, from which a tarpaulin could be suspended in wet weather. It was decided to invite the co-operation of the carrying firms in making the experiment.
