MOTOR ACCIDENTS.
TWO AT PUKEKOHE. OCCUPANTS ESCAPE INJURY^ (From Our Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, Friday. - Two motor accidents occurred in Puk«» kohe during the last day or so, for* tunately with no injury to tbe occupants. The scene of one mishap was the Pukekohe-Tuakau road, when cars driven by their respective owners (Dr. A. T. Begg and Mr. Roy Willkinson) crashed. Mr. Wilkinson had come out of his gate on to a soft portion of the road just at the moment when Dr. Begg came along, with the result that a collision followed. Both cars were badly damaged as the consequence of the impact.
A car owned and driven by Mr. A. Donald and a motor lorry owned by Mr. F. W. Stembridg-e and driven by his son, Mr. Claude Stembridge, provided the second smash when they met at the intersection of Queen and Harris Streets. Needless to say the motor car came off sceond best, a bent axle, a badlydamaged running board and mudguard comprising the chief damage.
CHRISTCHURCH COLLISIONS.
A CYCLIST HURT. (By Telegraph.—Special to " Star.") CHRISTCHURCIT, this day. There were two motor .-mashes in Chris-triiurch during the week end, both on the Papanui Road. The first occurred when a nrntur cycle struck a car. The cycle was thrown asainst a tramway pole, the rider receiving internal injuries and injuries to a hand, and having to be taken to the hospital. Later, a car entering Papnnui Tload from a side street, came into .ollision with a motor cycle. The i.vvle was badly crumpled, imt nobody was hurt. In an cflort to avoid the cnl!i-ion. the car mounted the pavement, .ma-lnng one wheel and damaging the tyre of another.
