A NEWTON TRAGEDY.
"WOMAN FOUND HANGING. HUSBAND'S AWFUL DISCOVERY. A married woman. Mrs. Mary Ann de Carteret, aged 45, was found hanging by a strap fixed to the top of a door, which was tightly closed, at her house, 68, Newton Road, last evening. Deceased's husband, Walter George de Carteret, who is a stonemason, made the discovery when he returned home from- work at 5.30 p.m. An inquest will be held this afternoon.
