HER FRIENDS' BICYCLES.
GIRL'S "BORROWING" HABIT.
APPEARANCE IN COURT. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. '"The habit of taking bicycles without the consent of the owners is becoming too common," declared Chief Detective Gibson in the Magistrate's Court when Muriel Edwards, aged 18, pleaded guilty to a charge of having unlawfully converted a bicycle to her own use. The girl took the bicycle of a fellow'worker. It was reported stolen, but a lady who knew the owner found it and returned it.
