RAILWAY ELECTRIFICATION.
LYTTELTON TUNNEL LIKE. NEW STORAGE-BATTERY CAR. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. An electric storage-battery car for th» Christchurch-Lyttelton line" will begin running to-morrow. There will be no alteration in the existing time-table. The carriage, which is driven by four thirty horse power motors, recently underwent a successful trial, attaininj a speed of thirty-five miles an hour.
