VISIT OF INDIAN TEAM.
REP. MATCH ARRANGEMENTS.
At last night's meeting of the executive committee of the Auckland Hockey Association, Mr. A. Playle presiding, matters in connection with the third Test between the Indian Army and New Zealand, which will be played at Auckland on July 17, were fully discussed, and it was decided to play the match at the Remuera grounds.
Messrs. L. H. Norton and L. C. Kent were appointed referees for the match between the Indian Army team and Auckland on Saturday next. Mr. E. Burton has been appointed captain of the Auckland team, and Mr. W. Ritchie manager. Messrs. A. Satchell and L. Davern were appointed time-keepers.
A communication was received from Mr. A. S. Player tendering his resignation as vice-president.
The offer of Tennis, Ltd., to lend its courts to the officers and men of the Indian Army team was accepted.
The Auckland representatives will play the junior representatives at Remuera to-morrow afternoon, play commencing at three o'clock.
Messrs. R. Avery and F. Nicholson were appointed referees for the match, Auckland junior reps. v. Country reps., to be played prior to next Saturday's match, commencing at 1.30 p.m.
Messrs. L. H. Norton and G. Waddingham have been nominated as the referees in the.Zanol Cup match on July 10, between the Auckland ' and Canterbury junior teams.
