DISABLED LAUNCH'S RETURN.

« ELEVEN DAYS FROM PORT. After an absence from Auckland of eleven days, the small fishing launch Restless, -whose non-returrf to this port ■was causing considerable concern, arrived in tow of the steamer Omana last evening. The launch, which was manned by Messrs. N. Patterson and C. Morgan, left Auckland on June 10, and was forced to seek shelter at Rocky Bay. Later she proceeded to Matiatia Bay, whence she set out on a fishing expedi-! tion. Engine trouble, however, forced her to put back to Matiatia. By Wednesday of last week the Restless had reached the northern end of Motutapu. where an unsuccessful attempt was i made by the fishermen to secure food j supplies. On Friday morning the launch's j dinghy was rowed to Home Bar, and; welcome provisions obtained. Yesterday morning the disabled launch j was taken in tow by Mr. Gilbert San-' ford's motor boat Tempest, and the j two boats arrived in the harbour at 7 j o'clock last evening. At that time the j current was running very strongly, and' the Northern Co.'s steamer Omana completed the tow by bringing the launch across the harbour to the Nelson Street wharf. - j
