The trouble which arose over the settlement of the 44-hour dispute lit -Messrs. Holdcn and Co.'s motor-body works is still unsettled, about 80 members of the Coachmakers' Union being idle. A STRIKE ENDS. MINERS TO RESUME. SYDNEY, June 17. The Enginedrivers and Firemen's Association has called off the collieries strike and the employees have been instructed to present themselves for work to-morrow in order to have the mines ready for a resumption of operations on Monday. Mr. Justice Hibble stated today that he was anxious that work in all the mines should be commenced again on the same day. It is estimated that the loss of wages suffered by the strikers as a result of the stoppage amounted to £700,000.
