THE LIBERAL SPLIT.

NEUTRAL LEADER DECLINED

(Received 1.30 p.m.)

LONDON, June 17,

A resolution of confidence in Lord Oxford was unanimously carried at a meeting of tbe National Liberal Federation at Weston-Super Mere, where the supporters of Lord Oxford and Mr. Lloyd Oeorge mingled on the platform.

The federation by a large majority declined to consider amendments suggesting that in view of the differences in the party it was advisable that a new neutral leader should be elected. — (A. and N.Z.)
