HASTINGS, Thursday.

A motion that local advisory noxious weeds boards be appointed to work in co-operation with the Department was carried at a meeting of the provincial executive of the Hawke's Bay Farmers' Union this morning.

The resolution will be forwarded to the annual conference.

The Provincial Poultry Association assembled at Victoria, 8.C., appointed a delegation to wait on the Minister of Agriculture, asking that the Department purchase large numbers of young Alberta turkeys to use in the Okanagan against the grasshopper and locust menace.
