MANUKAU LICENSING COMMITTEE.
A SATISFACTORY REPORT.
' The annual meeting of the Manukau Licensing Committee was held at noon to-day in the Court House, Onehunga. There were present, Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M. (chairman), and Messrs. J. Rome, W H. Gavin, H. R. Mackenzie, X V. Sutherland and W. J. Wallace. Police Report. —The police report, presented by Sergt. J. A. Cruickshank, spoke favourably on the conduct of all the seven hotels in the electorate. The licensee of the Exchange Hotel had added 4 more bedrooms for the. use of the public, and improved the fire escapes, as instructed by the committee at the last quarterly meeting. . Mr. McKean said it was pleasing to know that the police report was .satisfactory ill all cases. New new license in respect of Ellerslie Hotel was granted to Mrs. Ruth Bergman, and to Albert Ernest dainty, for the P6st Office Hotel, Onehunga.
Renewals.—The following renewals were granted:—George Page, Prince Albdrt Hotel, Onehunga; Frederick Meyrickj Club Hotel, Onehunga; Matthew Black, Exchange Hotel, Onehunga; Matilda Olson, Manukau Hotel, Onehunga; ' Charles Bernard Clarke, Panmare Hotel.
