IMPROVED CARGO SERVICE.

PACIFIC COAST AND N.Z,

ARRIVALS EVERY THREE WEEKS.

■ Steamers belonging to the Swaync and Hoyt Line, of San Francisco, will shortly commence a three-weekly service between Pacific Coast ports and New Zealand. Hitherto, the service has been a monthly one.

The first unit of the Swayne and Hoyt Line's fleet to visit New Zealand was the West Narwah, which arrived at Auckland from San Francisco during May. 1922. Since that date the service has been improved from time to time, and all steamers now make Auckland their first port of discharge.

The steamer to inaugurate the new service will be the West Calera, which is scheduled to Rail from Los Angeles for Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton on July 3. She will be followed by the Montague and West Islip.
