RUGBY FOOTBALL.
WAIPA UNION
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
TE AWAMUTU. Tuesday.
At last night's meeting of the Walpa Rugby Union, S. A. McXamara, an exAuckland League player, now resident la Te Awamutu, wrote asking the anion to consider his case in the matter of reinstatement. He had been endeavouring for some time to get his reinstatement to the Rugby code, and had received the following telegram from the N.Z. Rugby Union :—"Provisional reinstatement granted; you can coach and referee, but not play." The writer wished to know his exact position, as at present he could neither play Rugby nor League, and he would far sooner the union ruled one way or the other. After a brief discussion it was decided to forward the letter to the Walkato Rugby Union for consideration.
HELENSVILLE GAMES.
The following are the results of the football games played at Helensville:— Seniors.—Waimauku IC, defeated Parakal 14. Juniors.—Parakl 20, defeated Maori.; 6: Helensville 6, defeated Waimauku 3.
