HAMILTON, this day. The Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow, yesterday introduced a New Zealand 411ian4 deputation to the Hon. J. A. Young on the licensing question. The Minister was asked to support the alliance in its campaign against the trade, reference also being made to the matter of a twoissue ballot paper. The case of the Ambassadors' Hotel in Auckland was also touched on, the Mayor considering it disgraceful that it should have been necessary for the chairman of the Auck land Licensing Committee to diesociate himself from the committee's decision In the course of his reply the Minister stated that it was practically certain a Incensing bill would be placed before Parhament during the coming session, With regard to the ballot paper, he considered it evident that the people did not want State control.
