FIEST DAYS SHOOT.

HAMILTON. Tuesday. The annual carnival of the Hamilron Gun Club was opened to-day on tie club's 'grounds at Ruakura. The programme contains two £23 open handicaps and a £100 clay bird match on Wednesday. Entries are very good, and the club has been favoured with beautiful weather, the shooting is of a very high order. To-day F. Loughlin (Hamilton) and A. Thornton (Thames.) shot the possible in both matches. In the first match seven shot the possible (21 birds) and six had 20 birds, while in the second match five got the possible, and nine came close with 2O birds. Mr. North, of Whar.garei. got his possible with all first barrels, and Fra.-er I.T" 3 Kuiti) only one second barrel. The rpsults were :— £25 Clay Pigeon Open Handicap (21 Birds I. —c!
