CONFERENCE RESOLUTIONS
REPRESENTATION QUESTIONS
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON", Tuesday. The Government is to be asked by the conference concerning war funds administration, which was held in Wellington to-day, to reconstitute the National War Funds Council, so that members should be nominated annually by patriotic societies and appointed by the Government.
It was stated that neither the advisory board nor the council had actively functioned for some time.
It was also decided to recommend that the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association stould have increased direct representation on the War Funds Council.
After seme discussion upon an Auckland remit. "That the Veterans' Home. Auckland, be made a common obligation of the patriotic societies of the Dominion," the subject was deferred.
The meeting decided that it was the duty of the War Funds Council to provide funds to assist patriotic societies whose funds were exhausted.
