SERIOUS ACCIDENT TO FARMER.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
ASHBURTOX, Tuesday
Peter Barrie, a farmer, of Tinwald, was seriously injured to-day. He had jacked a whare up for repair 6 and was "underneath it on his back when the jack slipped. Mrs. Barrie attempted to loose him by digging him out with a spade. Assistance came, and Mr. Barrie was admitted to the hospital in a semi-con-scious condition.
Blood transfusion was necessary, a neighbour's employee giving his blood. Although still critical, Mr. Barries condition has slightly improved.
