WOMAN STRANGLED.
HOSPITAL PATIENT'S DEATH.
A tragedy occurred at the observation ward of the Perth Hospital, when.it is alleged that Olive Shaw (27), a single woman until recently a domestic servant at the Mount Hospital, was strangled by a woman who was admitted on April 7, about 10 days earlier than Miss Shaw. The woman is alleged to have stated that some days ago Shaw asked her to kill her, and repeated the request on the day of the tragedy, asking her to strangle her with a belt, which she did, The nurses, on entering the ward after lunch, found Shaw, who was a bed patient, very blue about the face and lips, with her cotton belt tied tightly around her neck. She was almost dead, and the doctor's efforts to revive here proved unsuccessful.
