037 VESSELS IN MAY. Arrivals at the Port of Auckland dur- ' ing May consisted of two British war- , ships, two Royal Mail steamers, 26 large , cargo steamers, 12 intercolonial or , Island traders, 28 coastal steamers, to- j gether with 567 local coastal vessels, making a grand total of 637, of 385,110 gross tons, and 231,855 net tons. As compared with the corresponding period last year the large merchant shipping showed an increase of nine vessels, '■ 32,056 gross tons and 20,047 net tons. \ Local coastal vessel returns show a decrease of nine vessels. Twenty-eight vessels, with an aggregate of 14,702 gross tons and 6716 net tons arrived at Onehunga during May—two fewer than in May. 1925. ■ j i
