The conditions under which the cycli road championship may be decided wen reviewed. A lengthy report was receive! fron Mr. J. W. McHolm, trainer and com panion travelling with R. A. Rose, th< New Zealand distance champion. Th< letter was received from Winnipeg. I stated that Rose's style had been highlj praised by a local coach, who said his style was excellent. The following were chosen to repre sent New Zealand at the Australasia! championships: S. A. Lay, Hawera, jave lin- J. W. Shirley, Auckland, high jump hurdles, and decathlon; G. S. Cabot Dunedin, walking events. They will b< sent at the expense of the council of tin New Zealand Amateur -Athletic Associa tion They will leave New Zealand 01 July 30 by the Ulimaroa, and will returi by the Maunganui on August;-j. "The profit from the tour of the Amen cans was £1255. Of this sum 25 per cen will "o to the council, and the balanci will be divided among centres and club pro rata to the profits made on meetings
