The chief Hemp grader's figures Tor May are to hand Ttie total or hemp srraded was 7134 bales, an increase or 106 bales over the total for May last year At the top c.id of the grading mere was at Plcton 31 bales or superfine (47 bales last May), and at the other end 356 bale 3 rejected (1944 last May). The other grades (with last May's flgures in parentheses) show:—Good-rair, 496 bales (612); hlghfslr, 3521 (3024); low-Tatr, 8446 (2959): comjnon, 432 (295.) Wellington graded 1038 bales or-hlgh fair ta 547 or low ralr, bat .with Auckland the figures Tor high were 334, ror low 908. Foxton, 996 aigh, 434 tow; Bluff, 436 high, 521 tow. Wellington led in total witn 3083 bales, Auckland 1614, Foxton 1536, Bluff 960, Wafroa 443. The total or tow graded wa3 21 eg balee (1994), of which the second grade took 1437 (1161.)
