MIKE MAN'AGEBS , REPORTS. Lucky Shot.—The manager reports- The drive north on the break which cut off the Reuben E'arr reef-has been advanced loft, making a total of 40ft driven. Quarts is making again in the face. The drive south on the Keuben Parr has been advanced 4ft, and in breaking down the reef colours of gold were seen in the leader on the footwall. A crosscut towards the hangingwall shows strong quarts, oxidised, and similar to that showing on the surface, and is probably the main reef continuing its eborsr going hillward. The country rock Iβ favourable for gold. The drive seaward on the hanglnswall leader hiis been advanced to a total distance of loft from the crosscut.' The country' got very ■ heavy, ard it was not safe to continue driving ahead until timbers were put in. It "was a bigger Job than anticipated, and it will be about Tuesday \ next before the face can be extended. The rise on the Caledonia reef, was advanced sft, total 74ft.
