At a conference of local bodies held here to consider the collection and apportionment of heavy-motor license fees, it was agreed to continue for a further period ot si_ months the method in vogue last year, whereby the respective counties and boroughs collected and apportioned the fees within each of the four counties. It was also decided that after the expiration of the current six months the collection of the license fees should be on the mileage basis, and that the by-law fees of £3 for light vehicles should be operative within the four counties and boroughs.
