WINS FOR RIFLES AND GRAMMAR. PONSONBY OUTPACE GRAFTON. With ideal ground and weather conditions at Eden Park, tlie Ponsonby scoring machine overwhelmed Grafton by 3G to 3 on -Saturday in a game that was one-sided. But the crowd grew enthusiastic about the even and exciting game between Grammar Old Boys and University. From beginning to end the game was spectacular, and the teams scored in rotation by good football. Grammar got in front just at the finish and won by 18 points to 15. At North Shore the College Rifles team, which had been defeated by Marist Old Boys last round, turned the tables on their rivals in a win by 12 points to 8, including another potted goal by Sheen.
