BEFORE AUCKLAND'S LICENSING COMMITTEE.—An interesting application before the Auckland Licensing Committee, which is sitting to-day, is that for a license for a building in Quay Street, that was formerly a gum store occupied by the firm of Lichtenstein and Arnoldaoß. A similar application was made at the last meeting of the committee and refused. In the interval two things have happened.. There has been an election, and the same committee has been returned, and tho work of converting, and furnishing the building for hotel purposes has been completed.
