DISHONEST OFFICIALS.
POSTAL PACKETS OPENED. (By Telegraph. — Press Association.) PALMERSTOX NORTH, Friday. In the Police Court Alexander Spraliey Jolly, aged IS. pleaded guilty and iyas committed to tho Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence on a rm'.r.ijt* of opening a postal packet, tli" property ot the Postmaster-! lenera!. .Tnlly \va* assisting' in the delivery of newspapers i" Kairanga. He illegally took possej-sion of two letters in connection with the rural mail delivery, one of which he opened. When interviewed hy the police he handed over both letters and admitted his guilt.
