(Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 14. The improved labour position is reflected on the Stock Exchange, prices being firmer in every department, though business was limited by the small quantity of stocks offering.—(A. and X.Z.) " REMITTANCE FROM NEW ZEALAND. WELLINGTON, Friday. The president of the New Zealand Alliance of Labour, Mr. A. Cook, stated this afternoon that the alliance had just cabled £1000 to the Strikers' Committee in England in aid of the strikers, adding that "an appeal for financial support to the Labour organisations in New Zealand was meeting with splendid results. The Strike Committee in London was also advised that further sums would ba forwarded if required.
