DISHONEST OFFICIAL.
EMBEZZLEMENT AND FORGERY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. A goods clerk at the Addington Railway Station, Arthur Paterson, appeared in the Police Court on charges of ern"beizlement and forgery, it being alleged that he received sums of money totalling £43 13/3 at various times between March 17 and April 19, and failed to account for them, and forged a receipt fof a consignment of 27 Backs of wheat. Paterson pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was allowed.
