NEWTON SCHOOLS COMMITTEE.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —At a meeting of householders held in St. Peter's Church last year for the purpose of electing the Xewton School Committee, it was unanimously decided to hold such future meetings in a more central place, but I see that the same chu-rch was used for this purpose at the last election. Now, sir, is it not time that this committee got busy and looked for a suitable hall and so leave the church for the purpose of which it was built? I feel quite sure that the Tev. gentleman in charge of that church would sooner have it so than have such rowdy and unruly meetings as took place there on April 26. I would like to suggest that the Epiphany Hall be hired for the next householders' meeting, whioh would not ■ cost any more than what is paid for the use of St. Peter's Church, and would also be more central than the last-mentioned place.— I am, etc., HOUSEHOLDER.
