MURDER OF AN OFFICER.
CASE OF COLONEL TULLOCH. MELBOURNE, May 10. Although the police are busily investigating the death of Lieut-Colonel Eric Tulloch. M.C. who was shot dead at a fashionable boarding house in East Melbourne early yesterday, no trace of the murderer has so far been discovered. It is suggested that the crime was tho outcome of a grudge against Lieut.Colonel Tulloch, but the police opinion is that the shooting was the act of a desperate burglar when cornered. — lA. and N.Z.)
