The Norwegian steamer Tugela sailed this morning for Newcastle. The schooner Plri Is expected to arrive at Auckland from Napier to-morrow. The Corlnthlc left Wellington for Southampt'in and London at 10 o'clock this morning. The whaler HananUi 11.. which completed her overhaul on Monday, sailed yesterday afternoon for Whangainumu. The schooner Northern Chief was engaged lv lightering explosives from the Pareora at Motuihi this morning. The I'nion Company's tanker Otokia is expected to arrive at "Wellington from San Luis tomorrow. The ketch Miro left Auckland for Morula! this morning, she is lightering explosives from the Pareora. The Nobel Explosives auxiliary schooner nula is expected to arrive at Auckland from Brisbane about Tuesday of next week. The Ellerman Hall Line steamer City of (Melbourne is to sail at noon to-morrow for Wellington to continue discharge of her cargo from -New York. The Richardson Bteamer Awahou was unable to sail Tor East Coast yesterday afternoon, t>ut was expected to take her departure at 3 p.m. to-duy. The ketch Rira has been delayed on her voyage across the Tasman by westerly weather, but is expected tt» arrive at Sydney from Awanui at any time now. MARISTON DUE THURSDAY. Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane advise that the steamer Marlston is expected to arrive at Auckland from Nauru Island on Thursday next. R.M.S. NIAGARA SAILED. Bound for Vancouver, via Suva and Honolulu, the Union Company's Royal mail steamer Niagara sailed from Auckland this morning. She is expected to arrive at her destination on May 28. KAIWARRA FROM FIJI. An expected arrival at Auckland at 4 o'clock this afternoon was the Union Company's steamer Kaiwarra, with coal from Newcastle and fruit from Fiji. She was to berth at the Central wharf. WAR LORD RENAMED. At present undergoing overhaul on the slipway, the (Schooner War Lord has been renamed the Teine Ylnuela. This vessel is having a Widop engine installed, and not a Fairbanks Morse engine, as previously stated. RARANGA SAILED. To continue loading for Genoa, Havre, and London, the, Shaw, Savill, and Albion Line steamer Raranga sailed from Auckland this morning. This vessel is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington on May 27. WEST NIVARIA SAILED. For Lyttelton, where she will continue discharge of her cargo from Pacific Coast, the Swayne and Hoyt Line steamer West Nivaria sailed from Auckland this morning. She will also discharge at Dunedln and Melbourne, CANADIAN" EXPLORER. A departure from Auckland last evening was the Canadian Government steamer Canadian Explorer for Wellington. Lyttelton. Timaru, and Dunedin. to unload the balance of her cargo from Halifax. Later in the month the steamer is to return to Auckland to complete her ■cargo for New •York, 'Boston, and Montreal. PAREORA ARRIVED. Arriving from Liverpool about eight o'clock this morning, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Pareora proceeded to the powder anchorage at Motuihi. where she commenced discharge of her explosives She is expected to come into port on Thursday next. From Auckland the Pareora Is to proceed to Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to complete discharge. PORT NAPIER AT SUVA. Cable advice has t>een received by the Commonwealth and Dominion Line that the steamer Port Napier arrived at Suva on Friday of last week from London, en route to New Zealand. MARAMA ARRIVED. A fine weather trip from Sydney was experienced by the Union Company s steamer Marama, which arrived at Auckland this morning. On her last trip from Wellington to Sydney the Marama encountered hard westerly gales, and her arrival at the New South Wales port was delayed for over twelve hours. Included in the steamer's cargo were transhipments ex the following vessels: Caprera. Sierra, Merton Hall, Burma Mam. Havan, Suevic, Riverina, Taiping, Mooltan, Tango Maru. Katoomba. Macumba. Koranui, Karma, and Arafura. The Marama is announced to sail on her return trip at 3 p.m. on Friday. NORTHERN COMPANY'S MOVEMENTS. Expected Arrivals. Carrying a cargo of case oil, the Bolton 'Steam Shipping Company's steamer Ribera arrived at Auckland from Texas last evening, and berthed this morning at the Western wharf. For her recent trip the Ribera loaded all her cargo at Port Arthur and sailed thence on April 4. Moderate to strong winds and a strong current was experienced to Colon, which was reached on April 11. In crossing the Pacific Ocean the Ribera met with favourable conditions until Wednesday of last week, when very heavy gales and rough seas were encountered. The steamer was badly buffeted, but no damage was done. On Sunday last the weather improved, and the remainder of the voyage was made under more favourable conditions. iFrom Auckland the Ribera Is to proceed to Wellington, Sydney, Buubury, and Fremaiitle, to complete discharge.

THE WILLA.STON. The Wiliaston, which cleared Ocean Island for Auckland on Tuesday of last week, is expected to put In an appearance on May 19. WAIRUNA FROM FRISCO. According to a later radio, the Union Company's steamer Wairuna will now arrive at Auckland from Pacific Coast porta at 8 a.m. on Thursday next. THE MESOPOTAMIA. Carrying a cargo of 6000 tons of phosphate, the steamer Mesopotamia sailed from Florida for Auckland ou April 23. She passed through the Panama Canal on April 29. The Mesopotamia is expected to arrive at this port about June 2. HORORATA NEXT WEEK. Bringing 774 third-class passengers, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Hororata is expected to arrive at Auckland from Southampton on Monday of next week. Her cargo is for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, and Napier.
