SENIOR COMPETITIONS

CONTINUE.

PONSONBY MEET CITY. JUNIORS OPEN THEIE.; SEASON. The Auckland Kugby League's season, •which opened on Saturday last, will be advanced another stage to-morrow when the senior matches will he continued, and the junior competitions will .be commenced. The chief attraction is set down for Carlaw Park, where those old rivals City and Ponsonby meet. Both teams opened their season with a win, and as they are regarded as the strongest in • the competition a fast. game should be provided. On No. 2 ground Marist Bros, will make their first appearance when they meet Grafton (Athletics); and if the Tykes are anything like as strong, as last season they should win: A good game should result at Devonport, where the home team will oppose the improving Uichmond team. Weakened by casualties last Saturday the Shore men will probably suffer defeat. ' The teams:— , , . J PARXELL. . Senior B".— Southwell, Clark, Griffiths. "White.
