BANKS CLOSE ON MONDAY.
Monday will not be,a general holiday, but the banks and insurance offices will be closed by reason of the.fact, that Anzac Day falls, this year on a Sunday. Government, legal and other offices will remain open on Monday. Anzac Day is not included"in the list ; of award.holidays for workers, since it was never intended that.the day should be regarded as an occasion for picnics and entertainment, and the necessity to close on a Monday when the day falls on a Sunday does not, obtain in this case. - '■ ' '■'"''
