WHITE NEW ZEALAND.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —The Government's announcement that no permits will be granted for the admission of Chinese into New Zealand this year will meet with the approval of most people, and one can only hope that t lie exclusion will be made permanent. There is no mention, however, of the attitude of the Government in regard to Indian immigration. To my mind, and I think the majority will agree, the Indian is more of a menace than the Chinaman, and should he excluded also. The statement that the Indians are Britishers and cannot be excluded is all rubbish. A kitten born in a dog kennel is not a dog. New Zealand, in common -with Australia and Canada, reserves the right to dictate who shall come into the country, and Australia and Canada have not hesitated to use this right, and Indians are excluded from these countries. I trust that the Government will take further action and exclude the Indians.—l am, etc., WHITE NEW ZEALAND.
