SHOP SWEEPERS.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —It is my misfortune to have to walk along Karangahape Road each morning at a quarter to nine. The pedestrians are greeted with clouds "of dust from the shops, which are being swept out on to and across the pavement, the brooms dodging the feet of the passers-by. What I want to know, is why the shops cannot sweep their dust out of the back of their premises, instead of into the faces of pedestrians. —I am, etc., DUSTY LUNGS, i
