HARD HAND IN MOROCCO.
NO PEACE IN SIGHT. PARIS, April 22. Advices from Oujda, Morocco, state that the recent peace conference with the Riffs was broken up in the evening without a decision being reached in regard to preliminaries for peace negotiations. The date of the next- conference was not fixed, as the delegates wished to consult their Governments first. A message from Madrid says news from Morocco gives little hope of a successful outcome to the peace efforts, according to a statement by the Prime Minister of Spain, General Primo' de Rivera. — (Reuter.)
