LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
THE NEW ZEALAND UNION. ANNUAL MEETING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. The second annual conference of the League of Nations Union commenced today. The Dominion president, Dr. A. G. jB. Fisher, occupied the chair and deleI gates were present representing all the main branches. Among the remits carried was one urging the Government to send at least three fully accredited delegates to all future ordinary assemblies, and that in view of the • Imperial Conference the Prime Minister be urged to attend the September assembly. The establishment in the Dominion of a League of Nations Parliamentary gToup similar, to the British Parliamentary League Committee was urged, and the Dominion Council was required to set up a commission to ascertain the legal obligations devolving on New Zealand as a member of the league. | The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Sir Francis Bell; president, Dr. Fisher; secretary, Mrs. Denton Leech. The execuj tive was. not changed, but several new . vice-presidents were added.
