! The. Huntly Town Board, discussed the , proposed loan for the Municipal Hall. The clerk reported that offers amounting to £8200 had" been received, and that he had arranged with ,the bank to hypothecate £3300 of the balance, conditional on the Government giving permission to pay at the rate of GJ per cent on the amount advanced. The clerk was given authority to. take np the amount which had been offered, and as soon as arrangaments with the* bank were completed, to -instruct the, architect to go on with the plans. , • ' ' In connection with the 'opening of the Huntly Hospital, it was decided to seek an interview with the Minister of Health to ascertain the future policy. , / Jir. E. George was appointed to represent the board at the conference ;o£ local bodies re the application of the heavy traffic license fees..
