WHANGAREI MEETING.

• The. .Whangarei Racing Club's autumn meeting, which is being held in conjunction with the Waipapakauri Racing Club's fixture at. Whangarei, will take place at Kensington Park to-morrow, and if the .weather conditions are favourable there should be some excellent racing. Proceedings will start with the Trial Stakes, five furlongs. They are not a very good lot. engaged, and Cherry Girl and St.' Lucas have only to run up to their-form' yesterday to. be prominent. Probably they may be tlie favourite division, while Tuursby may be next best Supported.

Just Quietly finished second in a six furlongs event yesterday, being beaten, by Waning Light, while Ma Boughal was finishing fast in third place.. Nocturne ran well for-seven furlongs in the Houhora Welter, one mile. All are engaged in the Settlers' Handicap,' seven furlongs, to-morrow, a nd probably Nocturne,' Just Quietly and Ma Boughal will form the favourite division.

Karangi heads the list in the Maungatapere Handicap. She was finishing on with great dash yesterday; Serang won well yesterday, while Te Koroke was second. This trio may supply the favourite for the Maungatapere Hack Handicap. • The Northland Hurdles' has drawn a field of* ten. - aPeter Rosa won comfortably from Marble Crag, while Archibald yesterday was third, Probably the public "will make Marble Crag -favourite, with Peter !Rosa and Archibald next fancied. The meeting will conclude '"with the Waipu Welter, and some of those engaged are also in the "Mclnnes Memorial. If reserved for,, this, Nippy and Passionate, will have friends, but in their absence Aurumavis, Sleepy Sol and .Maveelish will probably form the'best-backed division. - . - A special train will leave Auckland for Mair, the station alongside the course at Whangarei, . at 5.57. a.m., reaching Newmarket at G. 7' a.m., and returning to Auckland after the' last race, being timed to arrive here at'll.9 p.m.' Eollowing are the -acceptances:—
