THE STEAMER TUTANEKAI. READY: FOR: • - : CRUISE. Looking particularly smart under . new coat of '■ paint, the Governmenl steamer Tutanekai, which is to carrj the Governor-General xm his approaching Island cniise, arrived-at Auckland yesterday afternoon. The Tutanekai, which has been used as a lighthouse ship for several years past, recently underwent- survey and overhaul at Wellington. She left the capital port on Friday of last week, ant on her way to this port called, at Port land Island, Gable End, and the Chickens On arrivarl yesterday the vessel berthec at the Central wharf, where the finishin< touches arc being put to her paintwork She is under the command of Captaii John Bollons. . The Governor-General and party wil enibaTk on Monday next, and althougl the Tutanekai's cruise has not yet bcei announced, it is understood that she wil sail from Auckland for the Cook Islands Thence she will proceed to Niue Islanc and Samoa.
